About Diane Luedemann
Diane graduated from SUNY New Paltz with a bachelor’s degree in Art Education followed by a year of graduate study in ceramics. After raising a family, she apprenticed with potter Patti Mullins, for 4 years. She then met Ray Boswell in 1993 and worked with him for several years, learning about the production side of pottery. Over the course of time, Diane has researched and perfected the difficult and intricate process of crystalline glazing. This process results in an organic growth of beautiful, pansy shaped, crystals on the surface of ceramics, resembling colored frost on a window pane. Diane is also expert at creating utilitarian porcelain pottery. Her work appears at many galleries in the region, and indeed all over the world.
